Team Latham raises nearly $13,000 running the Falmouth Road Race

45^th running of the Falmouth Road Race last Sunday was awe-inspiring.  In the early-morning hours of August 20^th, Latham’s team members joined 12,800 runners making their way to Woods Hole – some by bicycle, 有的乘公共汽车, some by foot – navigating road closures 和 growing crowds to the start of the 7-mile seaside course.  The weather was gorgeous (though hot for running), 和 the mood was uplifting. More than 2,000 volunteers lined the course, 和 at 8:45 a.m., a massive American flag was hoisted above the early-bird finish line crowd. 

孩子们, 母亲, 父亲, 和 gr和parents e年龄rly awaited the finish of their loved ones, 和 for many of us, the finish of our friends 和 colleagues running to raise money for a cause. 

It was a thrill to see our smiling Latham team members complete this challenging run; they spent months training 和 fundraising, ran seven miles in the 80-degree Cape Cod heat, 和 were radiant at the finish-line gathering spot.  Team leader Katrina Fryklund said, “I am so proud of our runners. 在一起, our 11 runners have raised nearly $13,000 for Latham residents 和 their physical fitness initiatives.  Each 和 every runner deserves a huge congratulations 和 谢谢你！!”
